subject The prevailing racial politics

Umno MPs protested in the Parliament because Opposition MP M Kulasegran (DAP Ipoh) accused UMNO of being a racist party.

M Kulasegran was wrong as pointed out by the Deputy speaker . UMNO is actually a racial party just like MCA and MIC. Unfortunately in a racial party, it is innevitable to have some racists in its midst. It is a breeding ground for racism. To be nonracial in politics is good, to be racial is bad, and to be racist is the worst.

The new MCA leadership said they would champion for all Malaysians regardless of race. They would talk about human rights instead of communal rights Their nonracial political approach is commendable but will they open the door of MCA for other races to be multiracial?

Dato Onn Jaafar, the founder of UMNO was truely non-racial. He was definitely not a racist for he wanted UMNO to be non-racial by admitting Chinese and Indians as members. Unfortunately his noble idea of turning UMNO into a multiracial party did not go down well with the Malays. Neither the Chinese and the Indians gave their support at that time. So racial politics with all its negative effects have prevailed until these days.National integration and unity still remain as a dream.

John, an American came to visit his old Malaysian pals Johari, Samy and Ah Beng in Kuala Lumpur. After dinner, John asked them if they took pride in their skin colour ie if they were proud of being Malay, Chinese and Indian and why. All of them answered in the affirmative and give their reasons.

After that they all asked John if he is proud to be a white man. To their surprise, John said no because he never chose to be a white man. He was born white without any of his effort. He further added that he was only proud to be a good man and useful citizen of USA.

Ya! Then Johari , Samy and Ah Beng came to their senses, they must all make an effort to be good useful Malaysians. HIDUP Malaysia.

Subject: The Spirit of NEP
To: mcaperlis@gmail.com

The original objective of NEP is the eradication of poverty regardless of race and the restructuring of our Malaysian society to remove the identification of race with occupation.

This is fine and noble. Ever since its implementation, NEP has been hijacked by those strong and powerful to benefit themselves. As a result, the poor and the underprivileged have not benefited much. On the contrary, the improper implementation of NEP has brought about widespread discontent and disunity. It encourages corruption and slows down progress and advancement.

Ali, Ah Ba and Muthu said "if a group of OKU (orang kurang upaya) request or demand for privileges, special rights, aid and subsidies, we understand they deserve all because of their misfortune, but if a group of people blessed with good physical and mental abilities clamour for privileges, special rights, aids and subsidies based on any criteria to fulfill their desire, it is unthinkable, and unacceptable.

We need to review the NEP and its implementation for the good of our beloved country.
